Morrison conjures up hand of slavery on Harlem’s jazz generation. Shreveport, in Louisiana's northwestern corner, is a vitally important city in the history of Louisiana music. He developed a completely unique style, embracing elements of gospel, hard bop, free jazz, and classical music. A second theme reveals suffering caused by guilt. Key figures in developing the "big" jazz band included bandleaders and arrangers Count Basie, Cab Calloway, Fletcher Henderson, Benny Goodman, and Glenn Miller. Discovered by publisher Walter Melrose, Morton was launched in a sextet fronted by cornet, clarinet, trombone and alto saxophone, that recorded Big Foot Ham (june 1923) and Muddy Water Blues (june 1923), and coupled with the New Orleans Rhythm Kings in performances of three of his pieces (the first inter-racial records of jazz music): Mr Jelly Lord, London Blues and and Milenberg Joys (july 1923).

The lower the notes are, the lower the pitch. Bop, or be-bop in its full name, was a young jazz man's answer to the more conservative prevailingly swing music of the time. Known for originality and was amongst the first group of musicians to use Charlie Parker's alto sax style on tenor sax. It was far different from a rock concert held in some big venue. We can trace music back to the Middle Ages. Or better yet a Blues or Country music jukebox, just to keep em guessin.
